Can I Get My Dream Interpreted Online?

Yes you can get your dream interpreted online… But… and that is a very big “but” you need to know a few things about dream interpretation. First there is no scientific proof as to what dreams mean, how our brains form those funky and wonderful images and stories. So given that this is the case anyone who tells you what your dreams mean is not giving you “the truth” because we do not know “the truth” about them.

Here is what we do know; Psychologists, especially those Freudians have done a ton of work on the subject and in my opinion they come close to a “logical way” to interpret dreams but not always. I started interpreting my own dreams after suffering a panic attack thirty some years ago with the help of a psychologist who was trained in the Freudian tradition, and I can see how their method works. There are the Gestalt therapists who have a lot of work done on dreams and those guys in my opinion have the best “logical” explanation but.. still no one can scientifically interpret a dream and say “This is what your dream means.”

Having said all that lets come to the question of “Can I get my dream interpreted online?”

The nature of the stuff you are going to find online especially on the first page of Google when you type in “dream interpretation” or anything close to that is going to be a bunch of “Dream Dictionary” stuff. No one and I mean no one can have a dictionary of things and assert what they mean in a dream. This was something that was started god knows how long ago, it was around before the internet, there were books and dictionaries you could buy and with the internet they just hopped on. You see the dream stuff is so enticing to humans and curiosity of humans around the subject is so great that the stuff still is around and people read it. So your first option is to read those “Dream Dictionary” stuff. But don’t believe them.

Some sites in the internet give you methods than they talk about symbols and generalize the whole thing. I have not read a method yet that I think is worthy of attempting.

The second place to go and get an interpretation of your dream is places like http://answers.yahoo.com/ where people place questions and get a lot of answers from other readers. If you are lucky you will have someone who knows a method well enough to give you an interpretation.

I am so sorry… that is probably all you have as options, unless you have someone in your life who know how to interpret.
