Dogs

At the height of my panic attack season which lasted about 10 years. I saw a couple of dreams that were very significant to me. I am going to share them here. What I would like you to know is that a  if someone is suffering from panic attacks they deal quite a bit with making up what-if games that end up with a panic attack. I did this aswell. I remember not being able to help my self in making up these what-if games. All the fears I made up by playing these what-if games were not real but the thinking caused panic attacks and I experienced the fear as really real.

So here are a couple of dream that relate to the fear not being real..

In this dream I am running away from a dog. I am terrified that the dog is going to bite me. As I run I look back and the dog is right there by my ankles and he bites my ankle but nothing happens as a matter of fact I see his bite as if he was a movie superimposed in my dream. His attempts to bit does not happen. Although he is vicious and persitent in barking and biting my ankles, nothing is happening to me. But I am really really afraid. I wake up and write the dream down.

Here is how you would interpret this dream. My fears are not real… they are made up by me and cause all the things fear causes. The dog in the dream although appearing real is not real,  it’s bites are moving through my ankles as if he was on a movie screen. The bites have no impact. Knowing this I remember feeling a sense of relief and some sort of knowing how my dreams work.

Here is another dream about dogs… Again I am very afraid and this dog is chasing me and barking at me. He is right at my heals. I look back and the dog does not have a mouth. He barks loud but does not have a mouth. He cannot bite me. Again the interpretation is; the fear I am experiencing in real life is not real. It cannot hurt me.

Dream Interpretation – A Short Lesson

This is going to be very simple and straight forward. First lets talk about some of the fundamentals and tell you what dreams are not. They are not messages from the future; they are not from another world; there is nothing inside of you that is trying to come out; they are nothing to be feared although they might be very scary.

No one knows "The truth" about the meaning of dreams. We don't know what dreams are, like we know what an apple is. We have some good theories but nothing has been proven yet. We don't have a formula inside of which we can put our dreams and get "The Meanings" out.

I am going to give you two examples of dream interpretation here and you will quickly understand how dream interpretation works for me. I say "For me" because there are different theories out there and this is the one that works for me. I have been doing it this particular way for the past 30 years.

First a bit of a background; I have been having a great concern about my financial situation lately and I am ignoring it. I am focusing on other areas of my life but this one I am ignoring and I know I am ignoring it and I am worrying about it but I don't think I can do much about it.

Here are the two dreams that clearly express this situation... In one of the dreams I am trying to park my car between two cars on the side of a street. I am gently moving forward watching carefully if the front of the car will hit the back bumper of the car in front of me. I gently come close and stop. I put the car in reverse and without paying much attention gently touch the car behind me and hear a little bump; then I move forward a bit and get out of the car to check how I parked. I notice the front is OK but when I check the back... I see that I have climbed over the hood of the car that is behind me and destroyed the back of my car. I say to my self... "I should have paid more attention."

In the other dream I am floating on my chest in a swimming pool. I am alone. I am holding my breath and I am very still. I slowly sink to the bottom of the pool and as I am sinking I get a bit worried but I think to my self... once I get to the bottom I can just push off. Well... I get to the bottom and I try to push off and I cannot. I start to panic and wake up.

Dreams for me... operate this way. But notice one thing; I am the best person who can interpret these dreams because I am the only person who knows the situations of my life. And I know where these dreams fit. If you did not know my life and the thoughts, emotions I have and... if you didn't have practice interpreting dreams you would have never known what these dreams meant.

You are the best person to interpret your dreams. If you are willing to practice, you can learn it here... browse through and see many interpretations I have done for others. You can also request a free dream interpretation.
