Free Dream Interpretation for Kathy

Kathy’s dream:

The background to my dream was that my fiance passed away suddenly in October 2009 while we were on holiday in Turkey. I went to see a medium in December who told me that I would have a dream…and true to form a week later I did. I dreamt that I was a passenger in a car although I couldn’t see who was next to me but know it was a male. I recall looking at the inner door panel which was rusty and the male asking me how I got into the country. I replied “visa and passport” to which he seemed disgusted that that’s all it took to get into the country. He also leaned over me to get a bottle of drink. When the car stopped the male got out and locked the doors and I still never saw his face but he walked away and I stood there looking in the car saying that I wanted my cardigan, but he just carried on walking. I walked into a building which I presume was a toilet block because there were hand basins. My eldest niece was sat on the worktop swinging her legs and I told her that I wanted my cardigan..she replied “he says you’re too old for him, he’s only 27″. The next thing I remember was that I was elevated and looking down on a swimming pool which was full of milk with women only swimmers who were fully dressed. I asked “what’s this all about?” (my fiance used to say “what’s that all about?”) and I was told that it was for the soldiers wives. When I looked back down I saw my best friend and her daughter diving in. I awoke to the bed shaking and initially thinking there’d been an earth tremor but I do believe that my fiance took me on a spiritual journey although I don’t fully understand the dream.

Kathy; before I start I will tell you that I don’t believe in spirits, life before or life after, I am an existential and I will attempt to interpret your dream with in that context. Of course that is how I think everyone can believe what ever they want, that is a part of being human. And dreams really give any type of interpreter the opportunity to interpret a dream from different realms. So if, I was someone who believed in life after death, I could interpret this dream in a particular way. And if I was someone who believed dreams were a message from the future, I could interpret it from that perspective…. And…. no one would be right or wrong, because we don’t scientifically know much about the meanings of dreams.

My intention is to get to the “incompletes” the dreams are about (that is what I believe they are about). And obviously having lost some one you love and planned a future with will leave you with one huge incomplete and possibly many others. So here is my interpretation of this dream:

I am going to suggest somethings you need to think through and see whether they fit or not, because I simply don’t know your life situation deep enough… The person in the car is either him or a “husband to be” or a “life partner” but either you or others in your life think that you do not deserve this person or deserve to be someone who is married. I don’t know if you are conscious about these thoughts but you have them, you might not have acknowledged these thoughts to others or to your self. Just see if that fits. You also think that you have done the right things to be someone who deserves to be married. But you go back an forth in this thinking.

The dream suggests that something familiar to you is lost, something that gives you comfort is not going to be back; it is easy to assume that this is him but I am guessing it is the relationship you had or wanted to have.

You must have also been moved by a story or a somethings you watched on TV maybe, or someone in your life who lost a soldier-husband… and that is weaved into your dream as you are also someone who lost someone.

You were not taken to a journey by your fiance… I am sorry, I don’t believe in such things. You can… and I am sure your dream can be interpreted by someone else in that fashion.
