If you are someone who visits the site and reads it you know that I fundamentally say three things about dreams. One is that the person who is having the dream is the best person to interpret the dream because he/she knows their life situations better than anyone else. The second is that if you and I both see a dog in our dreams it doesn’t mean the same thing to both of us. The third is that, dreams are about incomplete things in our lives.
This post is going to be for those who visit the site and are looking to learn how to interpret their dreams.
A bit of background first. I have been dealing with a financial situation for a while now. I am thankful I have a decent job and pretty much can survive this down time. However there is an area that just worries me and although I know what to do about it I am not taking it on and actually doing something about it. I feel it is a dangerous situation and the threats to my financial situation can increase if I don’t manage them. This is how I feel.
Here is the dream: I am in Africa someplace and although I am surrounded tall green trees I am in a field where the ground is pushed down tall grass and it has been walked on so much that it is flattened out. There are a couple of Greek guys looking around in the flattened grass for a snake. They have sticks in their hands and moving the flat tall grass around and just looking for it. I am worried and I start looking for a snake. I finally see a large green snake which is nailed to a tree. I ask one of the guys if this is the snake they are looking for, they say no, that one is dead we are looking for another snake. I keep looking at the snake that is nailed to the tree and see that its eyes are moving and I tell one of the guys and he comes and kills the snake further. The next thing I know I am talking to this guy whom I work with and I ask him if he has seen this snake… he in an as-a-matter-of-fact way says ‘Yeah.. that snake is called M… (I don’t remember the exact words he used) and I have not seen it.” As I am still worried. I notice this scorpion looking bug on the door to which I am leaning against. I flick the bug and it falls on to my canvas shoes and starts to try to sting me through a crease on the shoe. I want to kill it with my other foot but my other foot would not come off the ground even if I am trying to get it off the ground. Then I wake up.
So, to handle this dream’s meaning lets go over a couple of other things. I have a lawyer friend who is helping me with the situation ( the Greek guys) I have a few of these issues they are all related bu they worry me (the snakes and the bug) I also know that there is one thing I can do to make it all go away but I am not doing it and unwilling to do it (I am unable to kill the bug because I cannot move my feet). Also notice that the dangers are small like the bug and controlled like the snake nailed to a tree.
I am guessing it is time for me to get off my ass and do the thing I know to do about this.
So lets review the three things we talked about.
1- I am the best person to interpret this dream because only I know what my life situation is.
2- Snakes and the bug in my dream represent danger in the form of “financial danger.” If you saw a snake and a bug in your dream it will mean totally different things to you.
3- There is a huge incomplete in my life regarding my financial situation that needs my attention.
Thank you for reading. Enjoy your days.
