There is this notion that if I see a car accident in my dream and you see a car accident in your dream, these mean the same thing to both of us. This is not true. It is true that we all know that car accidents are catastrophic and bad and conjure up bad feelings but still they don’t mean the same thing to all people who see a car accident in their dreams.
If we attempt to generalize, here is how far we can go with this. First understand that dreams are mostly about things/situations that are incomplete in our lives and these incomplete things live in two places. One is our past and the other is in our future. Let me explain. Lets say something really catastrophic happened to you, like a divorce or you lost a loved one or your job… something that is really important got lost or ruined, this will leave you with a ton of emotion and at this time it is possible to see a car accident in your dream. And the reason would be is that you are not yet complete with this event. It is still living with you.
The other place where your incomplete stuff lives is in your future. So lets say you have a job interview and you really, really want this job and you must have this job and if you didn’t you would be devastated and you are somewhat certain you are going to bomb. Or you have to give some really bad news to someone and you know it is going to be very bad not only for you but for the person you are going to give this bad news to. Now you might see a car accident in your dream. As you can see this is about a “future incomplete.” It is around a future event you are making up in your head and not pulling the band-aid off or not coming to a place of “okayness” about this future event.
Finally, in such situations you might dream of other “catastrophic” stuff, like a fight or an animal attack or something that is catastrophic and full of unwanted emotions. Seeing a car accident in your dream can only be generalized in this way. To get a truer reading on your dream you need to be the one interpreting it as you know your life situations better than anyone else. You can learn how to interpret your dreams by studying this site or write to me and I will attempt to interpret your dream for you. Thank you for reading.
On a last note. These are my thoughts, this is how my dreams work and I have found it to be consistent with all people I interpret for. However scientifically nothing has been proven about the meaning of dreams.

i was in a car accident that scared me to death. after that i have been having the same dream every night of seeing a blue car upside down and a womens bloody face and she is dead and she has the look of fear on her face. i cant make out what she looks like other than her hairstyle. her face is pressed up against the passenger window with her hands on the window. that is all i see and its the same scene in every dream. i just see a dead woman in a rolled over blue car and the picture stays in my mind so vividly while awake. what does this mean????
Thank you for writing. Before I answer, I want to let you know that science has no definitive answers regarding the meaning of dreams… all we have are interpretations and they may or may not be true… Here is my interpretation of your re-occurring-car-accident dream: I am going to suggest that the woman in the car represents you… in a way you are seeing your self living through the fear and you must have been very afraid of dying during the accident. It is just living in your dream because something about this is still incomplete for you…. It is not necessarily the accident that is incomplete it might be the “dying” part that is incomplete… even before the accident your relationship to “dying” is probably a place you might consider looking at. Something is incomplete and if you look through the fog you will know what that is. Let me know if you have any questions. Again… I am reminding you… these are just interpretations and may not be the truth of things.
Hello there, anyone can help interpreting my dream? Any help would be much appreciated.
I just woken up from a bad dream. I dreamed my boyfriend was showing me how fast he can run and then being runned over by a car, he flew around with the impact and landed in the middle of the road in a grass area. I desperately runned towards him and I was crying while touching his face which felt really hot. He was like in a shock, shacking and would not say anything when I asked him how he felt. The man that had runned him over came out of his car and kept asking me if he was going down? Then I tried to look for my phone to be able to call emergencies and luckly I woke up.
Please help.
Thanks alot
Giselle
Giselle, thank you for sharing your dream. First, I need to tell you that Science does not know the meaning of dreams yet. We have nothing definitive or proven about the meaning of dreams…. we have some good ideas but at best they are all interpretations. So this is mine, but it may or may not be true for you. You need to decide… If there is an insight or if I hit the nail on the head you will know..
So, there is a couple of things this dream could be about… One.. it might be about your boy friend. In that case it is about a worry you have about your relationship with him or a worry you have about him directly… You might be worried that something is going to take him away from you…. this is most likely not a car accident but something like a job transfer or family or something in that order. But you think this… you think there is a possibility he might be taken away from you. And your dream is simply reminding you that you have this worry but you are not paying much attention to it.
The second way this could be interpreted is this: This might be about your worry regarding loosing something or someone else important to you in your life… It could be your worry about a job loss or a friend, or something that is very important to you being lost.
What ever this is… you know exactly what it is… It is the thing you are worried about loosing in your life now… Think through and you will see. Let me know if you have any questions.
On a final note: It is my experience that intensely emotional dreams usually about things that are going on in our lives that are yet not complete and those things we are ignoring…. Again this is my interpretation… someone else might interpret this dream differently for you. Ultimately the person who has the dream will know which interpretation hits the nail on the head.
Dear Okan, thank you so much about your interpretation, I think the first one fits best to my situation. My boyfriend is in the army so I know he has to go away some times like to Afganistan, etc. I am always worried about him going away so my dreams must have been reminding me what I had been thinking.
I just wanted to sincerely thank you alot for your help.

Your welcome Giselle. I think you are correct. Now you can at least stop worrying about your dreams and concentrate on your relationship. Best of luck.
