I am in my friend’s dorm room and we are sitting on his bed chatting with his roommate. In reality I am attracted to my friend, and in my dream I am trying to play it cool and be flirty. It’s warm in the room, and as I lie down on the bed I am relocated to the mall in the city I am from. I’m wearing moccasins and I keep slipping with every step I take as I work my way throughout the shopping center. There are food places everywhere, and in my dream it is understood that I am walking through my University’s cafeteria, not my local mall. As I am walking I see people I know that I used to go to high school with, and I am feeling very uneasy because I can’t seem to walk without slipping and it scares me.

I analyze salad for a few moments and am then back in my friends dorm room. We are lying on top of his bed with a girl who he used to like, and I become jealous. I feel as if I am trying to charm him, though I don’t do anything other than laugh and smile. He then starts giggling with me and sits on top of me and becomes flirty. Then he proceeds to elbow my ribs and they cave in slightly. I am not in pain, I am slightly confused. I then woke up and was even more confused!

Hi Maria St., We don’t know the meaning of dreams like we know “Gravity.” Science has not figured this out yet. We do have some good ideas but no proof and a formula. I am going to give you my interpretation here. You be the judge if I hit the nail on the head or not.

There are a few things going on in this dream and none of it will surprise you. One is definitely about your friend whom you like. It is clear you want his attention. You also might be thinking that if you did get into a relationship with him, you might suffer a bit. I am not certain why that would be… and I am not certain if that is a correct interpretation, you be the judge.

The other thing that is going on in this dream is about food. My guess is you are preoccupied a bit with eating right etc. but you are ignoring your concerns and it is showing up in the dream.

The third thing in this dream is probably the thing that is going on regarding this “New place” in your life. My guess is you started a new school, or college or a job, and you are struggling… Not necessarily with classes but something… it might be classes… you can’t seem to get it working… what ever is not working in this new place, this is about that… you are trying though.
