I had a dream where I was wearing a big white shirt, and I had my hair tied up in a loose bun and I was in my bathroom. I’m not sure if I was holding it or if it was resting on something but there was a tall white plastic cup, the length about from my chin to the middle of my breasts, and I was staring down into it and it was being filled with candy. There were only a few chocolates in the cup and a lot of those red and white striped peppermints. After I thought it had been adequately filled I took the cup and I pulled up my shirt and I like, opened my chest up like there was a flap and I had no boobs, I just pulled open this stretchy flap of skin and it didnt look all bloody and nasty and gory it was just all pink inside and it looked kind of fake like rubber and inside my chest there was like a hollow space and I grabbed the cup of candy and shoved it inside and it proved some difficulty but with a little stretching of my chest flap I managed to get it inside and it seemed to fit perfectly in the hollow space and I closed it and put my shirt down and looked at myself in the mirror and straightened myself out. But I looked into the mirror with an expression on my face that I usually give when I don’t like the way I look a given day, like I was discontent with my appearance and I could feel the cup of candy in my chest like it was kind of heavy and uncomfortable, like it was there. I remember in the dream I tried to stand up as straight as possible like I was trying to get as comfortable as I possibly could with that thing in the hollow space in my chest but I still looked in the mirror and I seemed discontent with myself… I felt it was more a disappointment with myself rather than with the fact that the cup of candy was uncomfortable inside my chest.
Hi Akemi… what a powerful dream and in my experience dreams like this carry a good amount of meaning although they revolve around a single issue.. Before I start I should tell you that no one knows “The truth” about what dreams mean. Science doesn’t have a provable answer for them… we have some good ideas and the only reason they are good is because the interpretations make sense to the person whose dream is being interpreted… it is kind of what I hope will happen here with you.. If I don’t hit the nail on the head… it is only because I cannot have a dialog with you so that I have some insight in to your life situations… not necessary but will make the interpretation more juicy… and it will hit home for you.
There might be a couple areas to look. The first are is about you getting something you really like into your life… it is something you think should fulfill you and it is not. This could be a relationship.. a job.. something in that magnitude. You have an emotional-fulfillment expectation around this thing that is not being met and you think this thing should fulfill you. This thing is in your life right now. You are also disappointed with your self that you are not satisfied with this… I think you also feel this thing is a bit of a burden to you.
The other interpretation I was thinking was about your ability to show or have a particular emotion. It is not necessarily love… it could be something like “having gratitude” or something like that… and you are disappointed that you are not feeling the thing you should be feeling.
I am inclined to think however my first interpretation is much more near the mark.. but maybe not.. you be the judge.
