Katie’s Dream; “I dream often of a beautiful white tarantula…”

I dream often of a beautiful white tarantula. Sometimes she is running across the table and I try to catch her. She runs up the candlestick and goes up in the flame. I saw her last night and she was hiding. I could see her and she was watching me.

Katie, thank you for sharing your dream. First let me say that there is no “truth” to the meaning of dreams… We don’t know them like we know “Gravity.” So all we got are a bunch of good ideas and interpretations… These are mine regarding your dream.

There is possibly two places from which you can look at this. In one case is that — you are the tarantula— . If you consider that you are the tarantula then you can start considering this is something in you that you want to capture like a way of being… Is there a possible way you want to “be?” Is there something you are practicing to become? Just check with your self and see… but this is close to being an obsession with you… You really really want being this particular way and you are enjoying what is taking to get there.

Here is the second and more probable interpretation… I think there is something you really want to have but it is always eluding you. Think about the things you are after… this is something you are after… you wish you had… It is also a preoccupation with you right now and for a while now… It might be a job, a person, a situation, a relationship… I think you know exactly what this is… And you seem to be enjoying the chase…
