Steff’s Dream… All of a sudden I was panicking because the ground below me meters away was cracking

In my dream everyone was gathering together because apparently there was going to be a brand new sky forming. I was with no-body that i knew i was with a group of friends that i was very familiar with in the dream but unfamiliar with when i woke up. All these people had gathered around a beach late at night to watch the sky. There were helicopters and weird futuristic airplanes in the sky really close to a section far from me where all these colors were beginning to form in the sky, the colors were different shades of blue and green and yellow. The sea looked amazing. The only person that was there that i knew was my father. Its weird because he is the one person that i dislike the most and do not talk to.( he abused me as a child) He was standing on rocks closer to the water then i was. All of a sudden I was panicking because the ground below me meters away was cracking in an earthquake sort of motion.. My father was on the other side of the cracks & i was screaming at him to come over to this side because there was an earthquake! I was so afraid because the earthquake was starting to become vicious. He finally came over to the side I was on and i swore at him. Then All of a sudden I went into a building to the 2nd floor without him and I was with my group of friends. I then realize I was in a dancing costume & so where my friends. We had been in some kind of high school dance competition and the opposing team were in the building also. ( I am not in high school any more) All of a sudden I could hear so much screaming and commotion outside and the building that I was in began to collapse. Me and my friends and the opposing team were all hugging and crying because we were about to die, people were screaming something about the end of the world.I woke up as I was falling to my death. In my dream i had absolutely no memory of other family or friends or my lover & this made me so upset when i woke up.

Steff, thank you for sharing your dream… It is a very powerful dream… First I should tell you that we don’t know what the meaning of dreams are… Science has not figured this out yet. We don’t have an equation where we put the dream in it and get “The meaning” out… Although this is the case; we do have some good ideas and experiences in interpreting dreams. Most of the time I can pretty much hit the nail on the head but you be the judge. Also when done professionally this needs to be a dialogue so the interpreter can get a good idea of the life situations the person has and ask about emotions etc. So all I have for you is my interpretations of what you wrote.

I think there are a few different things going on here. First is something like this: Your life recently has been about the future you seem to think there is a lot of good things may be amazing things are about to happen your life… you are full of anticipation and you are curiously watching your future unfold… This could be about a job or a relationship or a totality of some sort… but it is about the future and your anticipation for it is being expressed. You are possibly thinking this “New” future will also bring new people into your life.

Regarding your father… he is in the dream in my opinion because you feel whatever is “Wrong” with him is not his fault. It is like he has a disease that is no fault of his own (I think you think this although you say you dislike him)… Or; you are either wishing that this is the case or know that, that is the case. You want him in your life but there is the “Thing” between you that neither you or he can control… and you very much wish that it was not there.

It is also possible that right now you are worried about your father or someone that is very important to you and you feel this person is doing the wrong thing and you want to scream at them and let them know that they are doing something wrong….

The part of the dream around you school… is possibly about something you had valued from the past is in danger…  I think you might know exactly what this is. It might be an old relationship or something you have build over the years that goes way back is in danger of collapsing or being lost… I think you also know what this is.

You wrote that you did not see any other persons that are important to you… Nothing can be said about that in my opinion… For me dreams always and only reference the “Incomplete” stuff and the wishes and desires for the future, and sometimes they give us clues as to what we are “Really” thinking… They say “Hey you are avoiding these thoughts and emotions… take a look…”

The next question is: What do you do with all of this? Well… In my experience people who get something profound out of their dreams end up completing something… apologizing for something…. bravely moving forward with something… There are “Insight” we get that call us to action… If that is the case for you; fantastic…  Enjoy your dreams.
